Guide to Koh Samet & Hotels
Koh Samet is just a short drive and boat ride from Bangkok. Offering a beautiful natural habitat, this small island features a striking southern coastline and stunning white sandy beaches. Something of a secret, it’s well worth exploring, particularly for the views and amazing sunsets. |
How to get there
There is a two-and-a-half hour drive from Bangkok to Ban Phe Pier, in the province of Rayong. This is followed by a 15-minute rivate speedboat to Koh Samet, where you’ll be met and transferred to the hotel. We can arrange for you to be met on arrival at Bangkok Airport and privately transferred to the pier for the boat journey, or alternatively collected from your Bangkok accommodation. From £81 per person. |

Paradee
Hidden away at the southern tip of Koh Samet, Paradee features two secluded palm-fringed beaches . . . one dazzling white in the sun with aquamarine waters, the other abundant with coral. This is the only resort in Thailand with beaches on east and west coasts. You can watch both the early morning sunrise and the spectacular sunset in one location. Paradee, a discerning traveller’s paradise, is designed as a ‘couples only’ resort to enhance its get-away-from-it all atmosphere - so it is not especially suitable for small children.
