Travel
Kuala Lumpur’s International Airport is well served by over 50 international and domestic carriers. Located in Sapang, 34 miles south of Kuala Lumpur with a journey time of around an hour, KLIA is well connected to the city via express trains, taxis and buses. We can arrange for you to be met on arrival at the airport and private car transfer to your hotel from £20 per person. Getting around the city is easy; taxis are a very reasonable option. The new LRT system has numerous stations in the city providing a frequent service.
Attractions
No visitor should miss a visit to the top of the Kuala Lumpur Tower. This offers unique views of the city and helps with an early orientation. Of course you can’t fail to see the Petronas Twin Towers dominating the skyline and a visit to the shopping centre at its base is worthwhile. The Batu Caves provides an interesting out-of-town trip to see this massive limestone outcrop and its cavernous interior, home to Hindu deities. Further afield a two-hour drive will take you to historical Malacca, the oldest trading port in Malaysia.
When to go
Kuala Lumpur is located close to the equator and is therefore warm to hot throughout the year with temperatures around 30-32°C. The highest rainfall occurs during February through to May, and September, October and November.
